Macfarlanes announces senior lateral private client property partner appointment
At the same time, private client property partner Tristan Ward will be leaving the firm. Tristan will join BDB Pitmans where his relationship with the firm is expected to continue in relation to clients' landed estate and agricultural property legal needs.
Further to this, having expressed his desire to pursue a career at the Bar in 2017 and following an extended period of handover, Michael Ranson will be leaving the firm at the end of June. Michael will be undertaking pupillage at a set of chambers specialising in property law, where the firm expects to continue to work with him.
Both Tristan and Michael have made a great contribution to this practice area over a long period and the firm wishes them well for the future.
Piers Barclay, head of private client comments: "Ian is a highly regarded leader in his field and we are excited to add a partner of Ian's seniority, quality and experience to our notable private client property team. Residential real estate is a core part of the offering of our market-leading private client practice. Ian has a mandate to take this practice area forward in a way that reflects the long-term demand that we see from our clients. This is an exciting move for our practice, Ian and the firm as a whole.”
